In 2009 our facility became totally smoke free. We will book nonsmoking hunters only.
FULLY GUIDED HUNTING ON PRIVATE LAND
Our goal is to provide
you clean, comfortable lodging, plenty of delicious home cooked meals
and an enjoyable, safe hunting experience. Limiting our bookings to
3 or 4 hunters per week allows us to give you the individual attention
needed for you to have an enjoyable and successful hunt.
All hunts for deer & bear are stand hunts (tree stands, shooting
houses, ground blinds) You will be hunting on thousands of acres of
our private and leased lands. Hunters and trappers at all skill
levels are welcome to book with us. We encourage husband and wife or
parent and child adventures.
As we approach our 15th season at BuckLore, we are frequently asked
about trophy buck hunting. We never charge trophy fees. Our goal has always been for hunters to have
the opportunity to harvest game. If you
are fortunate enough to harvest a buck of a lifetime - all the better.
You, the hunter, must decide for yourself what a "Trophy" is to YOU.
Yes, there are some very impressive bucks on the land we hunt. But,
you must be honest with yourself about your abilities. Are you physically
fit? What are your shooting abilities? Woodsmanship? Comfort level in
various weather conditions? All these factors must be taken into consideration
for a realistic outcome. This is your hunt, we want you to enjoy it
as we work hard for your success.
FULLY GUIDED LODGING & MEALS INCLUDED
You will be staying
in a comfortable, one room, rustic, nonsmoking cottage with modern facilities
that sleeps four. Bed linens and light housekeeping
are provided. (Sorry, no pets allowed)
Three home cooked meals are prepared for you each day
during your stay. You'll enjoy our top notch, hearty entrees and homemade bread
and desserts.
RESERVATIONS
Reservations are required. A $300 nonrefundable deposit
is required to book your hunt. Personal check accepted only for deposit.
Balance due in cash, traveler check or money order.
To make a reservation, please telephone (518) 856-0138. We will hold the space you requested
for 7 days, by which time we must receive a deposit of $300 per person,
or the reservation will be voided to make room for others.
Book Early. Because of our small size we fill our open hunting dates quickly. It is
not uncommon to reserve with a deposit a year or two in advance but,
by all means give us a call for possible last minute openings. We also
maintain a stand by list for those able to get away on short notice.
LICENSE SALES
New York State sporting licenses are sold on the premises.

BuckLore Hunting Adventures is located on the Deer River in the foothills of New York's northern Adirondacks, one hour north of Lake Placid.
